I’m always looking at various web posts that make suggestions about how to improve one’s blog. I came across a post (which I’ve lost the link to – sorry!) which suggested that an About Page should not be about the creator of the blog but instead should be about the blog itself and give the reader some idea of why they should read the blog.
A logical extension of that argument was the need for an Author Page where you can talk about the creator of the blog and the story behind that person.
So with that in mind, I’ve created those 2 pages (see the links mentioned).
In doing so though, I also looked at the tabs on my blog layout and readjusted them trying to put the actual content pieces first such as Blog, and Gallery, and Downloads, and Forums. After that, I put the two new pages mentioned followed by Legal Notes which is where I mention Fair Use and a General Disclaimer.
Now for all the themes that have tabs up top, it’s pretty clear but there are 2 themes where there are no tabs on top, the same information is available at the bottom in links.
I’d be interested in an opinions on my navigation style on my blog that anyone has. Please post them in the comments.
