Take a look at this EFF post regarding how the RIAA and Judiciarry Committee are trying to put a new bill up to change the terms of copyright license needs with regards to electronic media. It’s bad. I’m not truly sure how bad as some of the legal terms in some of the other articles seem rather confusing but basically the RIAA wants to increase barriers for any electronic media. They want to put further barriers in the way of further technological innovation. Bad stuff.
If you are interested, check this EFF link on how to talk to members of the Judiciary Committee. I don’t have any representatives on that committee but maybe you do. Act now and stop the corporate power from increasing even more and our personal power decreasing.
