I’ve mentioned that I’ve spent a lot of time on tuning my home theater. That means a lot of things. One of the things it means is creating a universal remote to take over the job of 10 remotes.
For that job, I chose the Philip Pronto NG TSU3000 and use the Philip Pronto NG Edit program to Edit, Create and Modify the programming for the device. I started with the model created by Daniel Tonks at Remote Central who has an amazingly useful site.
My profile has been modified to cover my situation which includes 3 rooms.
My Family Room is my main room including an amp, TV, dvd, LD, mp3, dvr, phono, tape devices (see the profile for the models and such).
My Master Bedroom is another main room including an amp, TV, dvd/vcr, mp3, dvr devices (again see profile).
My Gym is a secondary room including an amp, TV, dvd, LD, dvr, vcr devices (see profile).
And lastly a few other misc. devices.
It’s been a lot of work to get it right and keep it working. Kathy jokes about the fact that if I were gone she would have no clue as to how to keep things going (she’s smarter than she lets one but it’s a nice ego boost for me and a little bit funny!).
Anyway, I thought I would finally post this in case others might find it useful.
