We had an alignment of issues over the last little while.
First, we noticed that multiple sites were being slow. Unfortunately, it wasn’t consistent. It took me a while be we finally got to the cable modem. Most homes in our area get the cable modem reset fairly often because of various power outages (they don’t last long) but we have a UPS on our networking gear so it never goes down. It has basically been up for several years. I guess it was due for a reset.
That fixed most of our problem. One of the sites though was this blog. I think that this was due to running to many WordPress plugins. I have thinned the crop and it seems speedier. I’ll monitor it over the next few days and if this doesn’t seem better then we will contact the support team.
