I’ve been missing?!?? Ok, I guess I haven’t posted anything in a few days.
I’ve had a few things that have been keeping me busy.? My biggest project is a cleanup and reorg project of my workshop.? That last few times I have tried to do a few things in there (I am trying to learn how to sharpen chisels and planes and also I am trying to build a blanket chest) I was struggling with how things were laid out.
In a small workshop, the way things are laid out is really important on how you get things done and how fun the projects are.? My shop is about 16×12 or so.? I’ve gone from having way too many things in there to thinning it out a bunch.? Now, I still have a little too much in the tiny space but? getting rid of anything else would be down right painful.? I’ve had to change tactics on different things such as learning to do things by hand rather than by using power tools.? This allowed me to get rid of a power tool or two.? Maybe I’ll be able to eliminate more but for now I’m settling in to see how it works.
The biggest part of my reorg was to go to a different screw organization system.? That took quite a while.? In addition, I moved a few of the pieces around to see if I could optimize things.? I’ll know more as I spend time in the shop which will hopefully be more over the next few weeks.? Wish me luck on that part!
