So I’ve been in training for this new volunteer gig at my kids school.? I’ll be working with kindergartner’s that are a bit underdeveloped in the language skills.
The program uses games that are multi sensory in their approach to helping the kids to remember bits of the language.? So their are big motor games, fine motor games, phonics, memory, fast pace, and much more.? Essentially, make the kid not realize they are learning and have fun.
My first day was yesterday.? I was a little apprehensive but it went well with my 2 kids (the program wants you to stick with a kids through the program so you can pace their progress and they get comfortable with you, much like their own teacher).? It is a bit more work than my other volunteer gigs in that there is some prep work because I have to pick games that will work with what the teacher wants me to work on, or what I think needs to be worked on.? It should be interesting.
