The Woodworking Show is making the rounds and is in our neck of the woods next weekend. My friend Marshall and I have made it an annual trek for the last 15 years (I think) so we’ll be heading out again this year.
I do have one tool that I hope to see in person. That’s the FesTool Domino. It is a somewhat different approach to joinery where it improves upon doweling and biscuit jointing with loose tenon of various sizes. I have generally avoided tenon work due to the complexity of it and I think this may allow me to add it to my options.
I have actually gotten back in the shop the last few days too. I’ve made some good progress in getting the last of my hand planes tuned up – ie. sharpened and honed. I hope to be done with these soon. I still have to finish the blades but that should be pretty quick work, I hope.
