Our neighborhood is having a big garage sale today.
Kathy and I’ve been getting ready for it for a few days now. We’ve been gathering stuff up that we’ve been thinking about selling for much longer than that though. We only like to sell things that we generally think are good things to buy at garage sales. I’ve always been surprised at how much stuff is truly junk. I’m not talking about a piece of furniture that is beat up because a piece of furniture that is beat up could be something that matches perfectly to someone who is willing to fix it. I’m talking about the chipped coffee mug or tattered shirt or ratty doll or broken toy – truly junk. Maybe it’s something to someone, I guess.
Anyways, we are busy with that today and the boys are going to do a lemonade stand too. Unfortunately, the weather may put a kink in it as rain is supposed to move in just after noon so hopefully it holds off at least that long or maybe even longer!
