I got back to my shop…an amazing 2nd day in a row!
Today wasn’t as euphoric as yesterday. It was fun but the progress was slower and I ran in to some problems that are going to take some thought to puzzle through.
As I described in my earlier post, I have large box joints that are the key design element in the blanket chest. The first box joints that I have made were along the entire edge of the joint so it was simple. Now though I am doing the front edge and the box joint is not along the complete edge but instead just the middle so it’s a more complicated job.
Along with that bit of complication, I’m having a problem getting the depth of the box joint on this new edge to the proper depth.
I’ll keep plugging along and I’ll figure a solution but I haven’t yet. If there are any woodworker’s out there with any suggestions, please feel free to jump in with some ideas!!!
