iTunes Update Issues

Apple has been being bad recently.

They have updated iTunes and while updating an application is not bad their apparent motivation has been bad and has some other bad consequences. Their apparent motivations have been to prevent hackers/developers from putting ringtones on the iPhone and perhaps to limit other hacks on the iPhone.

The issues that I’ve seen has been a slow down in iTunes. These are bad consequences of rushing out an update. I’ve got a Mac Pro (fast processor and lots of memory) so iTunes should not run slow. Specifically, when a Podcast or many is downloading and then they are finished, they will not clear the queue and transfer into the appropriate playlist for as long as minutes. This has been going on since the release of the iPhone supported version.

I hope that they fix these issues because this is a bad user experience and Apple is all about good user experience.
