Parenting is hard

How do parents convince kids that loosing their temper doesn’t really work?

How do parents convince their kids that aggravating others (their siblings) really isn’t fun or empowering or whatever they think it might be?

How do you get through the cloud of “I don’t like you” that can sprout up after you discipline your kid?

How do you stop yourselves from making silly mistakes that you know are mistakes even as you do them?

(almost the same question) How do you stop yourselves from making the same mistakes your parents made?

I’m sure these and many more are very hard problems and are age old and have been struggled with for ages and will probably be struggled with for ages more.  I’m not intending to come up with any answers just acknowledge the problems because I just had a frustrating hour or so with my kids.  Fortunately these frustrating hours don’t happen often but when they do, they are not fun.
