One thing Kathy and I noticed while we were down in sunny Southern California is that they have Donut Shops. In fact, they have a lot of Donut Shops and while we didn’t do a scientific survey we did notice that it was very difficult to drive more than 2 miles on city streets without running into a Donut Shop.
I love donuts. We have only a few Donut Shops up here and of course one of them is Krispy Creme. When I lived in Southern California, I don’t remember so many Donut Shops though I do remember a few. We, as a family, would have donuts maybe once a month. That’s probably 4 or 5 times more often than we have them now.
If the quantity of Donut Shop’s is any indication, there should be a lot of very over weight people in Southern California. I’m not sure I can judge since we were mostly with our family (which is not over weight) and at Disneyland (which has a high concentration of tourists which may be from elsewhere). There were a lot of over weight people in Disneyland (one could not help notice not just the people walking around but also the people that were so heavy that had motorized carts) but again, this is not a fair critique of Southern California.
I guess the point is that donuts are good but too much is bad.
