We had an uneventful trip to SoCal to visit our family. Thanksgiving was great. My parents even made it though they were clearly aching (my dad from surgery recovery from a few weeks ago and mom from some other thing). Cindy’s (Michael, my brother’s wife) parents were there too. My niece, Kirstin and her family were there too. It was quite the family gathering.
We repeated it the following morning for breakfast before mom and dad needed to head back to their home. Other than that, we have been hanging out with Michael and his family. Xander and Mitchell are having fun playing with Wyatt (Michael and Cindy’s son).
One bad thing is that Mitchell woke up today sick. He threw up 3 times this morning. He’s tired and lethargic but seems much better after a slow morning and finally eating a bit of lunch (just some soup). Xander went with Wyatt to a birthday party and Mitchell fell asleep. Kathy went to have lunch with her friend Gail.
We are between hotels right now and will be heading back to the other hotel, closer to Disneyland when Xander and Kathy get back. I hope that Mitchell is up to it so that he can enjoy it and that no one else comes down with anything. We are supposed to do 3 days. On our last day, Michael and his family and Kirstin and her family are meeting us to go to Disneyland. Quite the adventure.
