Monday was zoo day. We have a membership so we go a few times a year. We all enjoy it.
Mitchell is really into tigers right now so that was his first pick. I was grateful that the tiger was at least sleeping in a visible place. Sometimes the animals are doing their naps in hideaways so you can’t see them. We had a great view of the bengal tiger.
Xander is still into foxes. The zoo has 2 foxes and because of our route around the zoo, we only saw one of the 2 foxes. We saw the fennec fox which is a very small fox who is nocturnal and has really large ears. We did tell Xander that we would head off to the arctic fox next time.
We also saw lots of other animals both large and small. A good time was definitely had (at least till the end and we have to venture through the store!).
After the zoo, we ventured over to a burger place called Dick’s. We had quite an adventure getting there because I picked the wrong turnoff and there are a lot of one way streets so it took us a lot of loops to finally get to where we needed to be. We finally got there and had a good lunch.
