I have a need to put in 2 speakers in a certain location in my house (they happen to be in a bathroom area) and wireless would be a convenient way to go but…
- wireless speakers still need some form of power and that means battery or AC
- battery powered speakers need to be turned off and on while AC speakers might not need to be
- wireless speakers can have range issues
- wireless speakers don’t always have good audio characteristics
Now, I could go with wired speakers but…
- wiring speakers is a lot of work and in the attic which makes it even worse
- once the speakers are wired, the location is fixed
- wired speakers need to have an outlet location so you are constrained by walls, ceilings
- did I mention the amount of work and how awful it would be in the attic?
Anwyay, I still have to think about what I want to do here. I may just bite the bullet and wire the speakers.
