Purpose

The focus of this page is to give some information about why this blog exists.

My name is Glenn and my primary purpose in life is to be a full time Dad and Husband. I am fortunate enough to have just enough resources to make this my mission. I am even more fortunate that I have some time left over to dedicate to other things.

I decided that I would put down my thoughts in kind of an online diary – a blog. I am not one to promote this blog so it’s real purpose is for my own self reflection. I am able to think about things in my life and carefully put down my thoughts and even sometimes go back and re-read then to see what I was thinking. It gives me the ability to adjust the way I look at the things in my life or the way I think about things that are important to me.

Now there are other benefits of this blog. My family has come to use this blog so it has become a communication medium for my family. I put up pictures and postings about things that are going on in my families life for others that are more distant (my parents, my brother, my uncles, my aunts, cousins, …).

Probably my last reason for this blog is to keep a finger in some form of technology on a nearly daily basis. I use a hosting service for this blog but I maintain the Wordpress software (which is what the blog runs on) myself. I look for interesting add-ons like the Photo Gallery (which is a Wordpress plugin) and try them out. Sometimes they work and are great and sometimes they aren’t. It’s all good.

Anyhow, for anyone who accidentally comes upon my blog, I hope that you find it interesting. Please let me know anything that you’d like to hear more about.

Please note: I value the comments that I get (since I don’t get many). I try to catch them all and respond to them all, primary through the comments themselves (unless an email is requested). I value all opinions though please keep it polite even when you disagree as I consider this a family site than my boys might look at from time to time.
