I’ve downloaded…then uploaded the pictures from my phone. Some of them are from the end of last school year and the summer time. Many of them are from running club certificates. Check out the Gallery and Phone Pictures and then Catch Up.

New Photos (Thanksgiving Trip)

Kathy has posted a “zillion” pictures from our Thanksgiving trip to Southern California trip (sorry, no pictures of donut shops!). It includes shots from our Thanksgiving gathering, Disneyland, Jedi Training Camp (very cool for the kids!), and lots of our family.

Looking for a lense for Kathy’s Canon camera

We have a friend who is a professional photographer.� She doesn’t profess to be an expert on all things camera but she does know her camera really well and what she likes in pictures.

She is steering us towards cameras with F2.8 rather than higher numbers so that we can do better with less light and also need flash less.� This is what she likes but it is also what we would like too.�� Of course, a lense similar to what Kathy has now but with a lens with F2.8 characteristics winds up being quite expensive.� I guess that is about quality and maybe what we should have gone with in the first place.

I hope that we can find it before we leave on our trip!

Kathy has posted some new photos from my brother Michael’s family and my niece Kirstin’s family visits last week.

Here is a cute one on my nephew Wyatt, my kids Xander, Mitchell and my Sister in law Cindy riding the wild roller coaster.

My parents are here with their computer. It had a bunch of pictures which they had scanned and I of course grabbed a bunch of them and posted them. Some of them are amazing.

It’s always great to see that one’s parents used to be so skinny at some point. I mean look at my Dad below (given that we are about to celebrate his 70′th birthday!).

Here are some shots of our 4th of July celebrations. Our city has outlawed fireworks so we substitute the Coke and Mentos fountains which work pretty well.

Here are two good pictures from a field trip I was with Xander on to the Zoo (they were studying bugs at the time so I thought these pictures were appropriate!).

Going Camping

Kathy and I are taking the boys camping today. It’s just an overnighter but we are going to visit where my parents are camping so it should be fun.

Hopefully, we’ll have some pictures soon.

UPDATE: Here is the one and only picture that shows our tent. It’s just a corner shot of the tent so don’t get too excited.

Another cool picture from the past

I found another cool picture and Kathy scanned it in for me.

This one is 4 generations.

I’m the young one at about 7 or 8, I think. My dad is standing above me (boy is he young!). My Great Grandfather is right next to him with a cousin of my Dad’s standing between them in the background (I think his name is Joe?) and my Grandfather on the far side.

I love this picture. I even got a chance to sort of duplicate it with Xander when he was a baby. I’ll try and get it posted sometime to.

Cool picture from the ancient past

I was cleaning up some files and such and came across a scan of a few older pictures that I got from my folks for a project that Xander was doing for his family tree. Well, it had some interesting pictures that I thought were worth posting up in our photo gallery (check the top “Gallery” tab).

Here is my favorite of the 3 pictures:

This picture was taken from when I was around 4 or 5 and was where we lived till I was in 3rd grade. I’m sure we are holding some sort of church thing but without asking my mom, I’m not sure I could tell you what it is. As you can see my little brother (Michael) and I were toe head blonds while my little sister (Laura) was a darker/dirty blond. I’m not sure I ever remember that kind of hair on my mom – WOW!. I also don’t remember my dad ever being that thin but pictures show great things from the past.

This is great stuff!

This is a picture of Xander showing off his family tree project at school (it was from earlier in the year).
